Hey everyone! š Dani here from FunKeysĀ ā ready to help you get those fingers moving with a super simple (and super fun) guitar exercise!
Today we're diving into a five-finger stretch exerciseĀ thatāll help you build strength and flexibility. Whether you're a total beginner or just warming up, this one's for you!
šÆ What Youāll Need:
Your guitar šø
A metronome š¼
Fingers 1, 2, 3 and 4 (yes, all of them!) šš¼
šµ Letās Get Into It:
šÆ Remember those fretsĀ we talked about last time?āļø The frets are the spaces between the metal lines, not the lines themselves! (ā± 0:22)
Weāre going to work on the last three strings:
The 6th string
The 5th string
The 4th stringĀ (ā± 0:39)
Place your fingers like this:
1st fretĀ ā Finger 1 āļø
2nd fretĀ ā Finger 2 āļø
3rd fretĀ ā Finger 3 š¤
4th fretĀ ā Finger 4 ā
š¼ Ascend & š½ Descend!
Start on the 6th string and go up:1st fret ā 2nd ā 3rd ā 4th
Then move to the 5th string and repeat.Then to the 4th string.
Now reverse it!Start on the 4th string and go backward:4th fret ā 3rd ā 2nd ā 1stĀ (ā± 0:38)
