Hi guys,
š¹ We have been spending the last few weeks working on 'Coffin Dance' - it's been great to hear everyone learning something new, and I think we are starting to get the grasp of the song!
āThis week we have been recapping what we've learnt so far, and really focusing on the rhythm.
š¶Rhythm is very important to understand, because without it, a piece would sound completely wrong!
šAside from the sharps in the song, this tune is pretty easy to pick up - so that's why we need to practise it to make the rhythm as accurate as possible!
šŗUse the video below to help you practise the crotchet (1 beat) and quaver (1/2 beat) rhythms. It constantly jumps from one to the other and it can be confusing to remember which one comes next, unless we break it down!
āWe can call our quavers 'coffee' and crotchets 'tea' to help us find the beats!
Happy practising!
