Love and Peace

Hello Mums and Dads!

We hope the heat hasn't been too harsh on you this week! We are working hard on both our songs: Do-So and Do Re Mi 🎶 and are so proud of our mini musos for attempting to play it and sing it! It sounds better and better each week that goes by. Thank you parents for doing some musical work at home. It really shows! 🌈 ❤

☘ Lately we have been living sad times in London and a bit everywhere around the world. So, this week, we thought we'd share an inspiring true story and a song ✨

I am training to be a music therapist in Cambridge and as part of the celebrations of the MA's end of year 1, we got together to perform music from all over the world. In the video you'll see me plus 3 colleagues:

One from Greece 🇬🇷, one from Ireland 🇮🇪 and one from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 singing 'Menina estás à janela' by Vitorino, a Portuguese song about love and hope. This sounds simple and we might take it for granted nowadays, but until 1974 Portugal lived under a dictatorship where free speech was not allowed. This song emerged after the regime was abolished and it became a symbol of love and freedom. The 25th of April's revolution is known as the "carnations' revolution", because instead of firing guns the soldiers marched the streets with red carnations on their rifles. 🌹🌹🌹

No one was killed and not a drop of blood was shed in bringing back freedom and peace to Portuguese people ❤

This week we want to pass on a message love and hope through music. May those traits be always alive in our hearts. ❤💛💚💙💜

Until next week! 🙋💞🌈🌹🎹☘ With One Love to you all

Ana & the Fun-Keys team Sunita, Jay, Prakash, Dani, Rachael and Alex
