Mee mee Beethoven

Happy Ist October to all of our school kids!

It's wonderfully Autumnal out there. To kick off this term, it's Joyful music with Beethoven and 'Ode to Joy.'

It's glorious music and there are so many different versions of it too! Let's start with a fun one with the Muppets to get you warmed up.

If you want to play this on your piano please use your Funsheet. It shows you how to play one of the most famous pieces of music ever in just a few minutes. Use the finger numbers that are shown.

Take a look at the first bar. The numbers are 3, 3, 4 and 5. This is not a secret code - oh no! They are simply finger number 3, finger 4 and your pinkie as 5. Place you thumb on middle C and your third finger will naturally fall on the E. We'll send you a video next week to show you exactly how but have a go first. If not, just enjoy the Mee Mee song and get used to singing it.

Beethoven would be proud of all of you mini-musos. Give it a go and send us a clip of you playing. We'd love to see it.

See you soon

Sunita, Jay, Dani, Ana, Rachael and Freddie
