Left Hand Fingers for Piano

Hi everyone

Welcome to another quick guide to playing piano for preschoolers. We have a great vid and a Fab Funsheet for you to download as always.

This week, we learn how to play the notes on the piano using our left hand.

C💚 Do. B💛 Ti. A💗 La. G💜 So. F🍊 Fa.

✋ Our left hand has 5 fingers and we call our thumb

Finger number 1! Finger number 5 is our pinky!

🎹 Put your hand on the keyboard like a spider.

Make sure finger number 1 (thumb) is on C💚 and finger number 5 (pinky) is on F🍊 .

🎹 Now play the keys with:

Finger number 1 - C 💚 Do

Finger number 2 - B 💛 Ti

Finger number 3 - A 💗 La

Finger number 4 - G 💜 So

Finger number 5 - F 🍊 Fa

☝Press each key one at a time. Play slowly and smoothly until you have a nice easy motion and you can play each key evenly. Remember some fingers will need a little more help.

Quick quiz 🏅🏅🏅

📹 Watch Dani and practice at home to make your fingers stronger and also play in the correct position. Download your sheet too. You can draw around your hand and name each finger too!
