Coffin Dance - let's play this!

📚 A fabulous brand new video and Funsheet for you all this week. So whether you are an intermediate or advanced pianist, we have something for you all.

Ⓜ️ 🎹 This song which is now a meme, (yes, we are learning memes ) has been asked for by so many of our piano students. It's 'Coffin Dance' otherwise known as 'Astronomia' by Tony Igy.

⚰️ Why are we learning this? Well dear readers, it helps us to learn new rhythms and is great as it uses a lot of repetition. It's also nice and quick to pick up! It's very similar to 'Megalovania' which we learnt a few months ago. Check out our YouTube channel for this.

🎵 Focus on the melody for this week and for next week, we'll look at how to piece the chords with the melody, with the correct rhythm applied.

🖐🏽 🎹 Play the melody first with the right hand and then have a go at following the chords. We've made it easy by naming them for you this time. In the following weeks, we'll learn to read them without the note names. We like a challenge!
