ABRSM GRADE 1 AND GRADE 2 MUSIC THEORY EXAMS
🏆 Week 2 of how to pass your exams with flying colours. All of our Fun-Keys students have passed with merits and distinctions and I’d like to show you how together, we achieved these great results. This week, I explain two exercises in both Grade 1 and Grade 2 with a simple guide on how to complete the questions.
🎦 For Grade 1, in the video, I cover exercise 1 and 2 looking at Time Values, how to identify each note and how long it lasts for.
🎼 For GRADE 2, Exercise 1 looks at how to write the notes on two ledger lines above and below the stave and make note of accidentals too and watch out for the clefs!
✍🏿 Exercise 2 is challenging but great fun. We have to write the notes in the opposite clef in the correct positions. While it may look as though there are several options, there is only once space the notes should be in! Watch the video if you need help with this.
🧑🎓 Next week, I’ll cover more exercises and together we’ll work through the ABRSM books. Do leave your comments below our blog post or in the comments section of our YouTube videos.
👍🏽 Don’t worry if you don’t get all the answers right the first time round. Practise makes perfect!
See you soon
