Learn about Octaves - 1, 8!

Hi mums and dads! Welcome to another lesson with Fun-Keys 4 Kids. This week we learn what is an OCTAVE .

An Octave are 2 notes with 8 notes between them.

For example!

🎹 Let's play C💚 on the piano. Now count 8 notes going upwards, including C💚.

1 - C 💚 Do 2 - D ❤️️ Re 3 - E 💙 Mi 4 - F 🍊 Fa 5 - G 💜 So

6 - A 💗 La

7 - B 💛 Ti

8 - C 💚 Do

🎹 Now play only note number 1 and note number 8. They are both C💚 !

That is an Octave

🎹 Now try the same with A💗 .

Count 8 notes going upwards, including A💗.

1 - A 💗 La

2 - B 💛 Ti

3 - C 💚 Do 4 - D ❤️️ Re 5 - E 💙 Mi 6 - F 🍊 Fa 7 - G 💜 So

8 - A 💗 La

🎹 Now play only note number 1 and note number 8. They are both A 💗!

That is an Octave too!

🎹 You can try with any note on the piano. If you count 8 you will always get to its Octave.

🎹 If you count 8 upwards you will get an Octave Higher. If you count 8 downwards you will get an Octave Lower

🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹
